My breakout player this year is Greg Olsen (TE Chi). The reason I believe this is he has a line to block for his QB now so the QB doesnt have to rush everything, he has a fluent running game to support him and not cause him to be tired from over-use, there are no true receivers on the team which makes him essencially the #1 receiver while playing Tight End and his QB is Cutler! I think the others are a true plus but having Cutler at QB is a 300% (at least) increase in over-all ability over Orton.
ReplyDeleteJust to add a little bonus to this response I will also state who I believe is come-back player of the year. "And the winner is....(drum roll)... Jeff Garcia Quarterback of the Oakland Raiders!" Before anyone says anything I already know he the backup to JaWANAMAKEMEPUKE Russel but I think Tom Cable will make the right decision in week 3 (at the latest) that Russel is NOT the future of the season let alone the franchise and throw in old man Garcia. We all know he had a lack-luster (putting it nicely) season in Tampalast year but wake up, he is JEFF F***IN' GARCIA and he will lead the Raiders to a season the fans in "The Black Hole" won't understand... A WINNING ONE (unless you're an older fan and know of their former glory).
I totally agree with what you said Robert about JaMarcus Russel in Oakland but there is one problem. Al Davis. Al Davis thinks that JaMarcus Russel is the franchise. That was one of the falling-outs Davis had with Kiffin. But I agree with having Garcia instead of Russel any day!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the Al Davis statmeant but I truly believe they will see a beam of light over Garcia as darkness descends of Russel and Al Davis comes to his sense. I understand my comeback player is very situational but it's what I truly believe will happen.
