  3. Well, I like your predictions too. Looks like we agree on 6 of the 8 division winners and 9 of the 12 teams to make the playoffs. However, I have a few things I disagree on (and believe me that does NOT make me right).

First, what makes you think the Chiefs are going to make the playoffs this year? The Chiefs are in the middle of rebuilding and offensive unit. Larry Johnson is on a down spiral in his career and they just traded their hall of fame TE Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez had most of the receptions stats.

I can see New England making it as far as you have them but I do not seeing them winning it all this year. I predict a down year for Tom Brady who is coming back from that knee injury in Week 1 of last season. I also think the New England defense is getting too old. I do agree with you on Baltimore making it far because of their strong defense.

And even though I do not have Atlanta or Minnesota in the NFC championship game I can definitely see why you chose them. Minnesota has the potential of being a powerhouse team this year with Adrian Peterson establishing the run allowing Brett Favre to have a better passing game. Brett Favre has not had a runningback of Peterson's caliber ever in his career. And Atlanta definitely is on an upswing and I see them being a winning team this season. Thanks for your predictions. Anyone else?

  4. Brian, I chose the Bears over the Packers and Vikings because I feel the Bears defense are going to have a good season and Cutler at quarterback is going to make a huge difference with Forte in the backfield establishing the run. I do not think Green Bay will be that big of a threat this year; I do not trust Aaron Rodgers for some reason. However, Minnesota can be a scary team (read my comment above).

  5. Well my picks are a little biased. I have a bet that the chiefs will have a winning season so I am basing it on a wild belief. I am a huge Matt Ryan fan and been following him since he was a sophmore at Boston College and I honestly think he can take their re-vamped team the distance. Lastely I am a HUGE Patriots fan AND I honestly believe they can win it all, they are down some major pieces from their 2004-2005 season (last super bowl win) but as you saw 2007-2008 season (lost super bowl to NYG) they still have more than enough pieces to do it. Furthermore they went 11-5 with Cassel at the helm (and got screwed out of a playoff spot) so if we can do that with a guy who hadnt started a game since high school then even a downgraded Brady can do it.

  6. I like you Robert. I am glad you stick to your guns and make a valid argument. And I hope you know I am not trying to shoot down your predictions by any means. I backed up what I thought and you did as well. So all we can do now is wait and see. So, are you from the Boston area? You said you followed Ryan at BC and you are huge Patriots fan. Just wondering. You should check out our Ultimate NFL Fan contest I just posted too. Show your Patriot Pride.

  7. Not a Bostonite but I follow Boston sports for reasons I don't know. One day about ten years ago I randomly decided to like Boston teams. In fact I am from the Hamilton, OH area and work with Brian.
