Compound all the early hype surrounding the Cutler-Orton trade and their preseason matchup (Sun. Aug. 30th @ Mile High) with Farve's two matchups against the Packers in the regular season. His first, the one in the dome when the Pack come to town (Monday Night Football, Oct. 5th) and more notebly when he leads his new team and arche rival Minnesota Vikings into Lambeau on Sun. Nov. 1st. All those matchups deserve the hype they're getting but the forgotten soul in all this is Cedric Benson of the Cincinnati Bengals. He has a rematch with the team that tossed him to the curb when the Chicago Bears come to P.B.S. on Sun. Oct. 25th. The soft spoken Benson may not admit to it but I know he's got that date circled on his calendar. Beleive me when I say he's going to be determined to prove to the team that drafted him 4th overall out of Texas in 2005 made a mistake by cutting him. In closing, I think he'll step up big against the Bears and in 2009, do you?

I agree that the Benson to Chicago "reunion" has been overshadowed since I honestly think Benson is much better as a Bengal than a Bear and Benson will shove that down their throat. Nonetheless the QB "reunions" are getting so much hype because the league tends to add more drama to when a QB returns "home" so of course people will pay more attention to that (although I personally am not one for drama). No I am not discounting the fact that I want to see these Qb's "homecomings" but I do believe Benson's is something I want to witness the most due to the fact that he HAS gotten better compared to Cutler who is maintaing his prior ability, Orton who is always bad (not as bad as Grossman though, and Favre who is on a steady decline regardless of what his supporters think (his legacy should have ended in Green Bay).
